Our Mission
Carla & Davide, both Sardinian natives, founded Ancient Grains with a passion to share the rich culture and flavors of their homeland. Inspired by their heritage, they created this cozy family-run restaurant to offer an authentic Sardinian dining experience, with a warm and friendly customer service – just like you would find in Sardinian home.
At Ancient Grains, our mission is simple: to immerse our guests in the traditional tastes and cooking methods of Sardinia. We use only the finest ingredients and time-honored techniques, such as low-temperature cooking and slow marinades, which infuse each dish with a unique, homemade flavor. Many of the recipes we serve are cherished family traditions passed down through generations – from our handmade ravioli, crafted using our grandmothers' recipe, to the fish cooked in parchment paper for an hour at low heat, each dish tells a story of love, family, and the joy of sharing good food.

At Ancient Grains, we offer three distinct dining experiences to suit your needs:
À La Carte Menu
Perfect for walk-ins and last-minute bookings, our à la carte menu is available for lunch and dinner. This selection showcases a variety of authentic Sardinian dishes, including handmade ravioli, house-made pasta, marinated slow-cooked meats, and other traditional delights.
Pre-Order Menu
For a more elaborate experience, our pre-order menu features dishes that require longer cooking times, such as our low-temperature baked fish wrapped in parchment, hearty fish stew, and meats marinated for up to 12 hours. As our fish is always fresh and sourced daily, we kindly ask our guests to inform us of their choices in advance to ensure the best dining experience.
Sunday Roast
Join us for our Sunday Roast, where you can savor traditional Sardinian recipes like porchetta cooked with myrtle or lamb infused with Sardinian spices and more. Each dish is served with Sardinian-style roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables and our homemade gravy.
Our Wine Selection
